History of Parkview

Pioneering Founding PhysiciansThree Adventist physicians; Dr. Marion Westermeyer, Dr. Ronald A. Bettle and Dr. Michael Weaver founded Parkview Memorial Hospital in 1959.

Located on a beautiful, wooded site near Brunswick's residential center, our 55-bed, acute care hospital has grown since its doors first opened in 1959.  Adventist health care has a rich tradition at Parkview -- nearly one-third of our medical staff attended the world-renowned Loma Linda University School of Medicine, which is itself a part of the Adventist health system.  Parkview is one of about 70 acute care Adventist hospitals in the United States, and one of about 200 worldwide.
