"Wear Your Genes" Seminar

Posted: 4/27/09

This seminar will underscore a woman’s midlife years as an opportunity for renewal – in body, mind and spirit.  "This program gets women to think about their genetic pre-dispositions in a fun environment where "how you wear your jeans" is almost as important as understanding the impact of your "genes" on your health and quality of life.

Women will be exposed to commonly inherited risk factors and learn about lifestyle choices that can make a difference in their lives.

Wednesday, May 13, from 6-7 pm in Parkview’s Board Room, Parkview Adventist Medical Center will host a free informational seminar called How to Wear your Genes.

Attendees will be invited to participate in an event where they will learn how to understand heredity, risk and primary prevention strategies and the things women should know about diseases and conditions that run in their family.

For more information on or to attend the How to Wear your Genes event contact Lisa Personett, 207.373.2216, or visit our website at www.parkviewamc.org/events.
