A former climbing and backcountry skiing guide, Lyle received his undergraduate education at the Univerity of Vermont with majors in Philosophy and Political Science. In 2007, he earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA. He has received intensive post-doctorate training in orthopedic manual physical therapy and sports rehabilitation. He also has extensive experience in industrial rehabilitation, plus vertigo and mulfactorial dysequilibrium rehab. These days, he and his fmily live in Wiscasset where he is teaching his kids the joys of woodworking and wooden boat building, bicycle riding, and exploring the outdoors year-round.
Daniel Lopez, PT, DPT
Daniel is a full-time Physical Therapist at the Parkview Rehab and Wellness clinic in Topsham. He graduated from the University of New England with his Doctorate in 2007. In addition, he has completed a yearlong Fellowship in Orthopedical Manual Therapy, which is where his interest lies. Outside of work, Daniel enjoys woodworking, reading and spending time outdoors with his wife and son.
Carol Kohls, PTA
Carol is a PT Assistant who graduated from Kennebec Valley Community College in 1998. Carol has worked at Parkview since graduation. She enjoys working with a variety of Outpatients at both the Topsham and Parkview clinics. Carol also assists with Inpatient care through the LifeStyle Choices Program. She has experience working in the Women’s Health Program. Carol loves to hike, bike, kayak and play with her three grandchildren. “I love my profession and I love working with such a great group of Therapists!”
Jeff Emde, MS, PT
Jeff graduated from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan in 1996 with a Masters degree in Physical Therapy. He began his career as a Physical Therapist in central Florida before moving up to Maine in 1999 when he joined Parkview. During that time, he developed a strong interest in working with the Outpatient Orthopedic population of patients, emphasizing a hands-on approach to Manual Therapy and Exercise. Jeff was promoted to Clinical Supervisor in 2004, while working at the Parkview Rehab and Wellness Clinic in Topsham; Jeff was instrumental in moving the Satellite clinic to its current location on Rte. 196 in Topsham. In 2007, Jeff was named Parkview’s Director of Rehabilitation Services. When he’s not working, Jeff enjoys spending time camping and hiking around Maine with his wife and two daughters.
Nicole Hall, PT, DPT
Nicole received her Bachelor’s degree from McGill University in Quebec in 2004, her Master’s in Physical Therapy in 2008, and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2010 from Husson University. Nicole gravitated toward outpatient orthopedic treatment throughout her training, with a particular interest in the treatment of neck and back pain, as well as neurological disorders. Since 2007, Nicole has worked at Parkview and is currently working toward her “McKenzie Certification in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy,” a technique mainly used in the treatment of neck and back pain. She is originally from New Hampshire and is an avid skier and runner. Nicole also enjoys walking and hiking with her husband and golden retriever.
Jon Petkers, PT
Jon graduated from the University of New England in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree. His work experience in the field of Physical Therapy includes orthopedics, home health care, wound care, aquatics, acute care, and worker’s compensation. Jon has worked at Parkview since March 2010. He is interested in sports medicine and orthopedics and is a Certified Kinesiotaping Practitioner. Jon currently lives in Freeport and his interests include golf and skiing.
